GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has inked a deal estimated to be worth £10 mn ($14.7 mn) to outsource its data management and medical trial & regulatory reporting functions to India.
According to this deal, Tata Consulting Services will establish a drug development support facility on a site already occupied by GSK in Mumbai from which it will run the data management services.
This deal is expected to save about 40% ofthe current data capture and management costs for GSK.
