Dr. Paola Gramatica is Full Professor of Environmental Chemistry and Cultural Heritage, past-Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry, at the
University of Insubria (Varese-Italy). She has been the head of QSAR Research Unit in Environmental Chemistry and Ecotoxicology at the Department of Structural and Functional Biology (DBSF) of Insubria University (Varese) since 1995.
Her present research field is QSAR modelling of environmental pollutants. She is author of more than one hundred peer-reviewed papers in international journals (about 60 in QSAR field) and more than two hundred presentations at many international and national meetings.

Dr. Karthikeyan holds Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Pune, Pune, India. He is associated, as a Scientist, with the National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune, India.
Kathikeyan has been involved in some pioneering initiatives in Cheminformatics in India. Few of these initiatives are: moltable, The First Indian Conference on Cheminformatics ICCI, January 22-24, 2007 held at NCL, Pune and OpenAccess.
Karthikeyan's research interests lie in chemoinformatics, chemical data mining, bioinformatics, drug discovery, organic chemistry and science & spirituality. He is presently working on a Fellowship with Prof. Tropsha at the School of Pharmacy of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA.

Andreas is a Presidential Postdoctoral Fellow with the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research in Cambridge, MA, working on projects related to ligand-based drug design in the Lead Discovery Informatics group. His work comprises descriptor and classification algorithm development and evaluation, as well as applications to predict biological targets for small molecules and approaches to chart chemical space and the relations among targets, based on the similarities of their ligands.
Andreas received his PhD from the University of Cambridge (UK) developing virtual screening methods working with Prof. Robert C. Glen at the Unilever Centre for Molecular Informatics / Department of Chemistry. He was a Cambridge Gates Scholar and a member of Darwin College while at Cambridge. Andreas did his undergraduate studies in Berlin, Dublin and Frankfurt as a German National Merit Foundation scholar and is the author of 30 publications in the cheminformatics and bioinformatics fields and referee for several journals in the area. more >>

Shaillay Kumar Dogra is a Senior Scientist at Strand Life Sciences. He handles technical marketing and support for Strand's in silico modeling software products. He is the Scientific Editor of QSAR World and may be reached at edi...@qsarworld.com.
Shaillay holds an M.S. in Biological Sciences from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and B.S. in Human Biology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.
His research interests lie in developing the field of QSAR modeling by applying recent machine learning and statistical methodologies.

Kalyanasundaram “Kas” Subramanian has a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from State University of New York at Buffalo and a B.Tech. (Chemical Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai.
Kas is the Chief Scientific Officer of Strand Life Sciences.
Prior to joining Strand, he was a Senior Biosystems Engineer at Entelos Inc. where he headed the Collaborative R&D group for the immunology products.
His research interests are in modeling of disease states, systems biology and predictive ADME and toxicology.
